This is a wire starter pack for those that are new to wire wrapping and would like to get the basics to give this craft a go without having to research which gauge works for what.
This bundle includes:

10 m of 0.4 mm (26 ga ) (weaving wire)
5 m of 0.8 mm (20 ga) (base wire)
5 m of 1 mm (18 ga) (base wire)
2 m of 1.6 mm (14 ga) (frame wire)

Copper wire has long been a favourite for wire wrappers and is my preferred metal as it is malleable and very easy to work with. An added advantage to this un-plated wire is that it can be patinaed and coated to achieve different looks. Since there is no plating, bare copper wire can also be hammered, soldered and otherwise manipulated in ways that plated and filled wires cannot.

This wire is great for various applications. Heavier gauges such as 1.3 mm (16 ga) to 2 mm (12 ga) are great for frame and structural work as well as bangle designs. Medium size gauges such as 0.6 mm (22 ga) to 1 mm (18 ga) are used as base wires for the weaving wires and are also  great to use for detail in your wire weaving, I also use these to for various stone setting techniques such as prong, gallery and coil settings (tutorials for these settings can be found in my weave library.

The thinner gauges such as your 0.3 mm (28 ga) and 0.4 mm (26 ga) are usually used as your weaving wires, coil making and binding wires.
