Learn how to set gemstones in a wire bezel around a focal stone. This is a great wire work tutorial for those that want to expand their skills for setting gemstones. There are various stone setting techniques in this design such as a wire coil setting and a flat-back stone channel setting

What you will need to make this design:

Wire:

• 2 m of0.3 mm (28 ga) wire
• 2 m of 0.4 mm (26 ga) wire
• 1 m of 0.8 mm (20 ga) half round wire
• 1 m of 1.3 mm (16 ga) half round wire
• 2 m of 0.8 mm (20 ga) square wire

Beads and gemstones:

• Pear cabochon (labradorite) 20 mm - 30 mm (sizes may vary)
• 8 x flatback cabochons (tourmaline)3 mm - 6 mm
• 4 x 4 mm CZ or gemstone (amethyst & garnet)

Tools required:

• Chain-nose pliers
• Flat-nose pliers
• Needle-nose pliers
• Round-nose pliers
• Flush cutters
• Polishing materials to finish your piece
