'Echo' wire wrapped pendant video tutorial

 

Hi Everyone! In this video, I’ll guide you through the process of creating a weaveless pendant using various wire work techniques. You’ll learn how to create the main frame embelish it with coils, after incorporating a pear focal, and add a faceted accent stone. I’ll demonstrate how to make the coils, assemble the components, and detail your piece while also showing you how to set a small faceted gemstone using the wire prong setting technique. What you will need to make this design:

Wire:

  • 0.3 mm (28 ga) wire
  • 0.6 mm (22 ga) wire
  • 0.8 mm (20 ga) wire
  • 0.8 mm (20 ga) half round wire
  • 1 mm (18 ga) square wire
  • 1.6 mm (14 ga) square wire

Gemstones & beads:

  • 25 mm pear cabochon
  • 2 mm copper beads 
  • 2.5 mm copper beads
  • 3 mm copper beads
  • 5 mm copper beads

Tools required:

  • Fine tipped flush cutters
  • Heavy duty flush cutters
  • Chain nose pliers
  • Round nose pliers
  • Polishing materials
