Technique - pear basket stone setting for faceted gemstones

In this video I will show you how to create a soldered, pear shaped basket setting using silver wire. This is a beginners metal smithing technique perfect to practice working with a soldering torch and how to attach prongs to a base. I have used silver or this, but you can use other metals if you want.
